Vision for new and cross-disciplinary art forms
Art has always evolved and continues to develop in new genres and forms of expression, both within, outside, and between artistic disciplines. This development is driven both by the artists themselves and by others coming from completely different backgrounds. At the same time, digitalization and technological advances have led to significant changes in the ways we create, experience, and engage with art. We aim to support this ongoing development.
Mission
Therefore, we aim to:
- contribute to the development of the arts by investing in the changes and new initiatives across the arts sector
- continuously discuss the concepts of “artistic quality” and “talent”, ensuring that new forms of expression are embraced within these concepts
- consider changes in cultural habits and in the ways art is used and experienced, both within and across art forms
- address the challenges that may arise from the foundation’s organisation around specific art forms in relation to new and cross-disciplinary art forms.
Art across the country
Art should be widely distributed and accessible to as many people as possible. We strive to ensure that all citizens in Denmark experience the art world as inclusive and relevant to them.
Children and young adults engagement with art
Art plays a crucial role in the development of children and young adults as individuals and as citizens. It provides a space and an opportunity to create, strengthen and transform the social communities.
New and cross-disciplinary art forms
Art has always evolved and continues to develop in new genres and forms of expression, both within, outside, and between artistic disciplines. We aim to support this ongoing development.
International activities
Art is global and sparks conversations - also across national borders. Art can strengthen dialogue with and between citizens around the world.
