The Copenhagen C&YA Editors’ Fellowship 2025
Are you looking for great children’s and young adult books to publish? For the first time in many years, we are offering eight spots in a fellowship programme for international editors acquiring children’s and YA literature.
The Copenhagen C&YA Editors’ Fellowship is a unique opportunity to build or strengthen relationships with Danish publishers and meet key figures in the Danish children’s and young adult literature scene.
WHEN: The Copenhagen C&YA Editors’ Fellowship runs from lunchtime Monday December 1st until Wednesday lunchtime December 3rd 2025. The Danish Arts Foundation covers hotel, transport and meal expenses for this period.
WHO CAN APPLY: Our application criteria are simple. If you can say yes to all of the following, we very much hope to receive an application from you:
- You are an editor at a publishing house that publishes translated literature for children and/or young adults
- You have an interest in Danish literature for children and/or young adults and have perhaps published Danish literature in the past
THE SELECTION PROCESS: The Danish Arts Foundation and Danish publishers work together to select the group of international editors for the Copenhagen C&YA Editors’ Fellowship. During the selection process, we consider your interest in Danish literature, your publishing profile, your experience with translations and your motivation to be part of the fellowship.
In the final group of editors selected, we aim for editors interested in acquiring rights as well as a broad representation of different nationalities and language territories.
