International Visiting Program - Music

Visiting and research programs for music organisers, music journalists etc. from abroad.
Who may apply?
Festival directors, concert organisers, musical directors, music producers, agents, music journalists etc. from abroad.
The application must be submitted by a Danish host or partner.
Purpose of the program
To provide musical exponents from abroad with the opportunity to acquire an insight into contemporary Danish music and the Danish music scene, and to strengthen networking and dialogue between the Danish and international music scenes.
How your application will be evaluated?
• The visit must promote and strengthen the international networks of Danish musicians, composers and/or Danish musical institutions/organisations
• The visit must play a decisive role in promoting awareness abroad of Danish musicians, composers and/or Danish musical institutions/organisations
• The visit must promote concrete collaborations between the Danish and international music scenes
• The visit must increase the awareness for the visiting music journalist of the Danish music scene
At least one of the above criteria must be met.

How do you apply?
The application must be submitted by a Danish partner. You can find the online application form here:

The grant will be paid to the Danish partner, who will be responsible for your visit.
How much you may apply for?
The length of a typical research visit is 3-7 days, grants for longer stays can be sought in cases where the applicant arranges their own accommodation. Form of travel and of accommodation must be of standard economy class. Grants are only awarded to cover these two forms of expenditure and not for general living expenses etc.
Who will evaluate your application?
The Danish Agency for Culture assesses applications according to the criteria laid down by the Danish Arts Foundation.
