The Theory About Everything

Does the world exist, or not? Does time exist, or not? Is there a God, or not? Holger Bech Nielsen is a Danish physicist of international esteem, and after many years of service to research in theoretical physics, he takes stock of his profession in a new book. Bech Nielsen has searched tirelessly for meaning, and in The Theory About Everything the prize-winning physicist tells of his life and works – not least, his determined endeavour to find a comprehensive theory for everything – that can explain how the world works, perhaps even show us where human beings fit into the scheme of things. No more, no less. By his own estimation, Bech Nielsen believes that he is ’much closer than one might think’ to reaching precisely this goal in his book.
