Hanne BartholinChen Bochui International Children’s Literature Award – Best Author of the Year

Chen Bochui International Children’s Literature Award – Best Author of the Year this year went to Hanne Bartholin for her work as an illustrator. Her books are hugely popular in China, where she has sold around 40,000 copies of Finn Herman (with Mats Letén). The series Carl (with Ida Jessen) has just been launched there too.

Morten Brask: the Bottari Lattes Grinzane literary award 2015 

Italy isn’t immune to the allure of Danish literature either. Morten Brask has just won the Bottari Lattes Grinzane literary award 2015 for the novel William Sidis’ perfekte liv (The Perfect Life of William Sidis), which is already on its third print run in Italy. First awarded in 1982, the award is given in recognition of innovative works of fiction. The book has previously received the Italian Edoardo Kihlgren Award for European Fiction in 2014.
