Who may apply
Danish architects, architecture firms etc., and architects working primarily in Denmark.
Foreign architects and architecture firms cannot apply directly, but can ask their Danish contacts to apply for a project grant. The Danish Arts Foundation does not award grants to students or for general educational purposes.
Purpose of the program
The general aim of this special initiative is to provide Danish architects, architecture firms etc., with the opportunity to apply for funding to develop and foster international networks – for example, in the form of collaboration with, or a visit to, an architecture firm or similar abroad. Or the other way around: a Danish architecture firm can invite interesting individuals from the field of architecture to Denmark. Projects may be developed under the auspices of an architecture firm or through collaboration between various knowledge environments and independent artistic groups. The aim is to promote professional exchange.
How your application will be evaluated
The awarding of a grant under the Visiting Architects Scheme is conditional upon the professional inspiration and knowledge generated being disseminated to a broader professional circle and/or to the public.
Who will evaluate your application
Applications are assessed by the Danish Arts Foundation Committee for Architecture.
How much you may apply for
The Committee for Architecture awards grants to cover travel, accommodation and subsequent promotional activities.
