Aarhus Festival - all art forms
The Aarhus Festival is one of the most extensive and enduring multicultural festivals of Scandinavia. It is an annual 10 day festival which takes place in the late summer and includes a broad spectrum of cultural and numerous other events of every type, size and shape.

Copenhagen Distortion
Copenhagen Distortion has been held since 1998 and is a tribute to the Copenhagen club scene. DJs are presented from the entire Copenhagen scene. The festival takes place over five days at the start of June at various Copenhagen locations.

Copenhagen Jazz Festival
Founded in 1979 the festival comprises nearly 700 concerts and events in 10 days each year. The festival takes place all over cenral Copenhagen, indoor and outdoor, in the beginning of July.

Musikhøst
Festival for contemporary music in Odense, founded by the Carl Nielsen Academy. Since 1985 the festival has presented new music mainly from European countries and USA each year in October.

Roskilde Festival
The largest international music festival in Northern Europe is Roskilde Festival with an audience of 70.000. The festival has existed since 1971 and presents an up to date and progressive music programme plus an extensive programme of events, art and activities.

SPOR festival
Festival in Århus for new sound art and art music. The festival takes place each year in the beginning of May. One special characteristic of SPOR is that the programme is compiled every year by a curator to ensure that there is no compromise in the strong artistic vision.

Spot festival
Three-day festival presenting up-coming Danish bands and guest bands from the Nordic countries. Including concerts with jazz, world and contemporary music. Organised since 1995 by ROSA – The Danish Rock Council. An important meeting place for talent spotters, festival organizers, etc. from all over Europe.

Strøm
Strøm is an annually recurrent and growing electronic event and playground, one of the most important electronic music events in Northern Europe. For the booking of artists, Strøm collects some of the most progressive eventmakers, dj’s and bookers in Copenhagen at the moment.

Tønder festival
The major folk music festival in Denmark taking place in Tønder each year in the last week of August. The festival site has a capacity of nearly 4000 in two large tents. Programmes are presented also at several other venues in the town.

WOMEX
The world music expo takes place in Copenhagen 2009-2011. 2440 delegates from 94 countries attended the event in 2010. The Danish participation at the fair is organised by the Danish Arts Council Comittee for Music.

"Copenhagen cutting edge music experience" is the subtitle of this festival founded in 2006. The festival features contemporary classical, experimenting popular music and electronica, often in cooperation with other art forms such as dance, architecture and design.
